Ben Coleman threw a gem on Sunday for his Team, allowing zero runs, on 4 hits, while striking out 5 batters over six innings, and besting Five Star National Mid Atlantic 16U by a score of 8-0. 
 
Diamond Academy 17/18U tallied four runs in the third inning, thanks to an error on a ball put in play by Nick LoPreato and Alec Ely, a singles by Coleman, and Blain College.
 
Diamond Academy 17/18U tallied seven hits in the game.  Coleman and Angel Stewart all managed multiple hits for Diamond Academy 17/18U.

Diamond Academy 17/18U took on a friendly foe in the semi-finals of the Essexs Father's Day Tournament, beating Diamond Academy-Grey on Sunday 7-0.
 
Justin Hefner was stellar on the mound, pitching a complete game 3 hit shutout, while striking out 6, and not walking a batter on the day.
 
Diamond Academy 17/18U got on the board in the first inning on a rbi single Hayden Askew, and put up three additional runs in the second inning, lead by Askew and Tyler Vonella, each driving in runs. 
 
Vonella led his Team with two hits in three at bats.

Diamond Academy 15/16U defeated Baseball Warehouse Badgers 13-1 on Saturday. Luke Christman started things off with an RBI in the first inning.
 
The Diamond Academy 15/16U increased their lead in the top of the fourth when Mason Dean singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Diamond Academy then went on to add 11 more runs in that inning. Dean, Colin Flanagan, Trevor Hottenstein, Preston Haubert, Thomas McGrew, and  Brady Kies all drove in runs in the frame.
 
Connor Ice earned the win for Diamond Academy 15/16U. The ace surrendered one run on four hits over four innings, striking out six and walking zero.
 
Christman went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Diamond Academy 15/16U in hits.

Diamond Academy 17/18U stole the lead late in the game in a 7-6 victory over Glen Burnie Warriors 18U on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Diamond Academy 17/18U batting in the top of the fourth when Blain College singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Diamond Academy 17/18U collected ten hits and Glen Burnie Warriors 18U had six.

After Diamond Academy 17/18U scored one run in the top of the sixth, Glen Burnie Warriors 18U answered with one of their own. Diamond Academy 17/18U scored when Ben Coleman singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Diamond Academy 17/18U took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Nick LoPreato singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs and Alec Ely singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Ely was on the pitcher's mound for Diamond Academy 17/18U. Ely allowed four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one.

Diamond Academy 17/18U racked up ten hits. Justin Hefner and LoPreato each had multiple hits for Diamond Academy 17/18U.

Diamond Academy 17/18U snatched the lead late in the game in a 3-1 victory over WV Warriors Varsity on Saturday afternoon. The game was tied at one with Diamond Academy 17/18U batting in the top of the fifth when Blain College singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Diamond Academy 17/18U pitchers struck out seven, while WV Warriors Varsity pitchers sat down three.

Angel Stewart was on the hill for Diamond Academy 17/18U. Stewart allowed three hits and one run over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Ben Coleman recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Diamond Academy 17/18U.

Justin Hefner went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead his Team's offense.

Diamond Academy 17/18U had another successful weekend of baseball, finishng Runner Up at the In the Net this past weekend. Ben Coleman started the game and took the loss for his team. The pitcher surrendered six runs, on six hits, walking five over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Justin Hefner was strong in relief. 
 
Tyler Vonella, Bodey Griffin, Justin Hefner, Coleman, Ian Nitz, and Hayden Askew each managed one hit to lead Diamond Academy 17/18U.

Diamond Academy 15/16U secured victory over Pittsburg Kings 16U in the third inning on Sunday, scoring 1 run. Diamond Academy 15/16U added three more runs in the sixth inning.  The offensive onslaught by Diamond Academy 15/16U was led by Braden Yacovissi, Ben McGrew, and Trevor Hottenstein, all driving in runs in the frame.
 
Preston Haubert got the win for Diamond Academy 15/16U. The ace went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out ten and walking one.

Diamond Academy 15/16U claimed a 4-3 victory on Saturday, despite a big push by Pittsburgh Kings 16U in the fourth inning.  In the bottom of the seventh inning, Diamond Academy 15/16U tied things up at three when Preston Haubert doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
 
Logan O’Byrne was the winning pitcher for Diamond Academy 15/16U. The fireballer lasted four innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out one and walking zero.
 
Curtis Carroll started the game for Diamond Academy 15/16U. The ace allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three
 
Diamond Academy 15/16U tallied ten hits on the day.  Luke Christman and Trevor Hottenstein both collected multiple hits for their Team.

Diamond Academy 17/18U took the lead late and defeated Carmen Fusco 18U 4-3 on Saturday afternoon.  The game was tied at three with Diamond Academy batting in the bottom of the fourth when Blain College singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
 
Ayden Quesenberry was on the hill for Diamond Academy 17/18U. The hurler went two and a third innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out three.
 
Tyler Vonella went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Diamond Academy offense.

Diamond Academy's 17/18U battled all weekend long in the Patrick Shifflett Memorial Tournament and finished runner-up, losing in the Champioship game. What an exciting and fun weekend of baseball.
