Diamond Academy 17/18U snatched the lead late in the game in a 6-4 victory over AYHRA on Saturday. Diamond Academy 17/18U got on the board in the first when Alec Ely drew a walk with the bases loaded, scoring one run.  

 

The game was tied at three, with Diamond Academy 17/18U batting in the bottom of the fifth, when Cooper Schanberger singled home the go-ahead run.

 

Ian Nitz was strong on the mound for Diamond Academy 17/18U. The ace went four and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on two hits, striking out four and walking zero.

 

Justin Hefner led Diamond Academy offencse with two hits in three at bats.
