Tryouts for the 2023 Diamond Academy season are here! We are looking to field teams ages 9-18. All tryouts will be held at MVHS baseball field; 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Tryout Dates are:
- Sunday July 17th, 2022
- Sunday August 14th, 2022 
 
Age groups tryout times can be found on the attached flier. 
 
Any player wishing to play on a DA team must attend at least one tryout. 
 
We are also looking for quality Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches too.

Diamond Academy 15/16u knocked in five runs in the second on its way to an 8-1 victory over Elite Baseball16u on Sunday.  Logan O’Byrne, Grady Magin, and Matthew Slivosky each had RBIs in the big inning.

 

Magin got the win for Diamond Academy 15/16u. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out six.  Preston Haubert and Slivosky entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

 

Diamond Academy 15/16u had 15 hits in the game.  Magin, Adam Slivosky, Haubert, and Colin Flanagan all collected multiple hits for Diamond Academy 15/16u.  Haubert, Slivosky, and Magin each managed three hits to lead Diamond Academy 15/16u.

Diamond Academy 15/16u scored nine runs in the third on its way to a 10-1 victory over Elite Baseball16u Red on Friday.  Preston Haubert, Grady Magin, Logan O’Byrne, Riley Fosnot, and Hayden Askew each had RBIs in the frame.
 
Haubert led the Diamond Academy 15/16u to victory on the mound. The pitcher surrendered one run on four hits over five innings, striking out three and walking zero.
 
Gross led things off on the hill for Elite Baseball16u Red. The pitcher surrendered eight runs on four hits over two and a third innings, striking out four. Tonnenson and Bluestein entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively.
 
Braden Yacovissi, Taylor Calp, Askew, Magin, and O’Byrne each collected one hit to lead Diamond Academy 15/16u.  Diamond Academy 15/16u tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Calp led the way with three.

A walk-off single led Diamond Academy 17/18U past Spartans 17U 2-1 on Saturday.  The game was tied at one with Diamond Academy batting in the bottom of the seventh when Aidan Nahum singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong for Diamond Academy as well. Gene Magin struck out 11 batters, getting the win for Diamond Academy. The hard-thrower surrendered one run, on two hits, over seven innings, walking zero batters.

Nahum also went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Diamond Academy 17/18U in hits.

Ben Coleman shut down Washington Twp. Minutemen, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Diamond Academy 17/18U to a 8-0 victory on Sunday.

Diamond Academy 17/18U opened up scoring in the first inning, when Gene Magin doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Coleman earned the win for Diamond Academy 17/18U. The fireballer surrendered zero runs on two hits over six innings, striking out ten. 

Diamond Academy 17/18U collected a season high 12 hits on the day. Ben Coleman, Tyler Vonella, Justin Hefner, Jerry Torrence, and Magin all managed multiple hits for Diamond Academy 17/18U.

Diamond Academy 15/16u was victorious over Delmarva Aces 15/16, 7-3

Grady Magin pitched Diamond Academy 15/16u to victory. Magin allowed seven hits and three runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking one.

Magin led Diamond Academy 15/16u with two hits in two at bats.

Gene Magin threw a shutout to lead Diamond Academy 17/18U past AYRA Athletics 3-0 on Saturday.

Magin was the winning pitcher for Diamond Academy 17/18U. The fireballer allowed one hit and zero runs over six innings, striking out ten.

Tyler Vonella and VJ Perricone each managed one hit to lead Diamond Academy 17/18U.

The Dundalk Destroyers 16U scored four runs in the second inning, but Diamond Academy 15/16U responded in a big way, and won 11-5 on Saturday.

In the first inning, Diamond Academy 15/16U got their offense started when Grady Magin doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, driving in one run.

 Diamond Academy 15/16U pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning, led by Hayden Askew’s triple on a 1-2 count, driving in one run and Adam Slivosky’s triple on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

 Preston Haubert was the winning pitcher for Diamond Academy 15/16U; allowing three hits and one run over four innings, and striking out three.

 Curtis Carroll started the game for Diamond Academy 15/16U. The bulldog lasted two innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out three

 Diamond Academy 15/16U had a season high14 hits in the game. Magin, Colin Flanagan, Slivosky, and Askew all had multiple hits for Diamond Academy 15/16U

Diamond Academy 15/16U nabbed the lead late in the game in a 10-5 victory over Delco Blue Jays 16U on Saturday.  Diamond Academy 15/16U trailed 4-3 in the top of the fifth inning when Colin Flanagan doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs.

Flanagan led Diamond Academy 15/16U to victory by driving in four runs.  Flanagan went 2-for-4 at the plate.  Flanagan drove in runs on a double in the fifth and a double in the sixth.

Diamond Academy 15/16U got on the board in the first inning on a Matthew Slivosky single;  scoring two runs.

Grady Magin was the winning pitcher for Diamond Academy 15/16U, tossing a complete game, allowing six hits, five runs,  while striking out a season high seven batters.

Diamond Academy 15/16U racked up 11 hits in the game. Slivosky, Logan O’Byrne, and Flanagan each managed multiple hits for Diamond Academy 15/16U, with Slivosky going 3-for-4 at the plate.
