Diamond Academy 15/16U was victorious over Hornets Baseball 16u, 6-4 on Saturday afternoon.
 
Connor Ice started the game for Diamond Academy 15/16U, and allowed four hits and four runs over four innings, striking out three. 
Cooper Gill got the win for his Team. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out two.  Brady Kies and Logan O’Byrne entered the game out of the bullpen also, and helped to close out the game in relief.
 
Diamond Academy 15/16U took an early lead in the second inning when Preston Haubert singled on the first pitch of the at bat, driving in two runs.
 
Diamond Academy offense had 11 hits in the game, led by multiple hits by O’Byrne and Haubert, and their defense was sure-handed throughout; committing zero errors.

Congratulations to the 15/16U Diamond Academy Team for winning the MD Stars & Strikes Memorial Day Tournament. The Team dominated all weekend, going a perfect 5-0, and sweeping their competition. In the Championship Game, the 15/16U Diamond Academy Team defeated Canes Baseball by a score of 6-5.

Diamond Academy 15/16U put up six runs in the first inning, on its way to an 11-3 victory over the Owing Mills Spartans on Saturday moring. Diamond Academy's offense was triggered by Braden Yacovissi and Ben McGrew, an RBI single by Colin Flanagan, a groundout by Curtis Carroll, and an error on a ball put in play by Mason Dean.
 
Connor Ice led the Diamond Academy to victory on the mound. Ice lasted 3 1/3 innings, allowing two hits and two runs, while striking out three.  Brady Kies was strong out of the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings in relief.

Diamond Academy 17/18U took the lead late in the game in a 7-6 victory over Bigbie's Black Sox 2024-Green on Saturday.  The game was tied at six in the bottom of the fourth when Ian Nitz's sac fly scored Bady Brathuhn from third base. Brathuhn reached base on a HBP. 
 
Diamond Academy 17/18U tallied five runs in the third inning, which was lead by walks by Ian Nitz and Nick LoPreato, and singles by Hayden Askew and Ben Coleman.
 
Ayden Quesenberry got the start and was strong on the mound for Diamond Academy. The pitcher went three and a third innings, allowing six runs on one hit and striking out three. Coleman recorded the last five outs to earn the save for Diamond Academy 17/18U.
 
Diamond Academy's offense was led by Brathuhn two hits in two at bats.

Diamond Academy 15/16U took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Titans Gold.  The game was tied at five, with Diamond Academy batting in the bottom of the 7th, when Luke Christman singled, driving in the game winner.
 
Diamond Academy 15/16U knotted the game up at five in the bottom of the sixth inning, when Brady Kies doubled, scoring two runs.
 
Logan O’Byrne earned the win for Diamond Academy, allowing two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking zero.
 
Curtis Carroll started the game for Diamond Academy, and went five innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out two and walking one
 
Ben McGrew went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Diamond Academy 15/16U in hits.

Logan O’Byrne had all the right stuff on Sunday for Diamond Academy 15/16U, besting Warriors Baseball 15u by a score of 8-0, and earning the win. The pitcher allowed five hits and zero runs over five innings, while striking out six and walking zero.
 
Diamond Academy 15/16U opened up scoring in the first inning, when Colin Flanagan singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. Diamond Academy 15/16U secured the victory in the second inning by scoring five runs, led by Preston Haubert and Luke Christman RBI's.

Diamond Academy 17/18U built a nine-run lead in the second inning and then held off Putty Hill for a 10-8 victory on Sunday. 
 
Diamond Academy 17/18U got things moving in the first inning, when Justin Hefner grounded out, scoring one run. Diamond Academy continued building their lead by scoring six runs in the second inning.  Hayden Askew, Brady Brathuhn, and Jackson Gifford all drove in runs in the frame.
 
Ben Coleman earned the victory on the mound for Diamond Academy 17/18U. The pitcher allowed four hits and three runs over five innings, striking out nine.  Angel Stewart and Blain College entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.  College recorded the last out to earn the save for Diamond Academy 17/18U.
 
Diamond Academy 17/18U collected seven hits on the day, led by Hayden Askew and Brady Brathuhn, who each collected multiple hits.

Diamond Academy 15/16U opened up the game by scoring one run in the first inning on a Braden Yacovissi RBI single. Diamond Academy continued their offense in the second inning when Thomas McGrew singled, scoring one run.
 
Preston Haubert took the win for Diamond Academy 15/16U. The hurler went four innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking zero.  Brady Kies threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
 
Diamond Academy 15/16U offense totaled seven hits on the day.  McGrew and Haubert each collected multiple hits, with McGrew going 3-for-3 at the plate.

Diamond Academy 15/16U seized victory in dramatic fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple the Caines.  The game was tied at five in the bottom of the eighth, when Preston Haubert's clutch single drove in the game-winner. 
 
Thomas McGrew started the game for Diamond Academy 15/16U. The hurler lasted seven innings, allowing ten hits and four runs, while striking out three and walking one. Diamond Academy's bullpen was strong, led by Cooper Gill, who earned the win for Diamond Academy, and Connor Ice.  
 
Diamond Academy 15/16U collected 11 hits during the game, and the offense was led by Brady Kies, Thomas McGrew, Preston Haubert, and Ben McGrew; all having multiple hits in the win. Cooper Gill also drove in a run in the second inning on a double.

Congrats to the 13U Diamond Academy Team for winning the In the Dirt Cinco de Mayo Tournament. The Team battled all weekend, and finished by winning the Championship Game vs the Mt. Airy Bulldogs 19-18!
